YOUR VOICE MUST BE HEARD!
You expressed your concerns about the well-being of your children and grandchildren, and their importance to you...
Your attendance is necessary at the upcoming Equal Parenting Rally in the Capitol Rotunda in Charleston on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 12 noon to 2pm. This rally will help determine whether or not the legislators act on our proposed legislation. Your presence will send a clear message to them – the time to act is NOW!!
There will be distinguished and educated supporters speaking on our behalf. Can we count on you to be there? Are you willing to rearrange your schedule to join us? We need you, your family and friends to be part of this historic day.
The Domestic Violence Coalition and their supporters adamantly
oppose our bills. We need to show our legislators that our children are important! Without your support, our bills will fail!
February 13, 2008 is also Children’s Day at the Legislature and MAWAD has a booth in the Upper Rotunda throughout the day in addtion to the Rally. If you can’t attend either function, please think of people that you can send in your place to show the physical support that is so important.
Can you and your friends and family also fax or email a short letter to us? It needs to state that you support the legislative initiatives of Men & Women Against Discrimination, asking the legislators to vote in favor of them. It needs to be clearly written or typed, with the date, your name, address, and phone number.
For any further inquiries, please contact Men & Women Against Discrimination at 304-295-0053. |
